Pug Breed Characteristics

Pugs have specific characteristics that the Kennel clubs look for in the breed. These are ideals, and taking something a bit less for yourself might be fine, but for KC standards, there are specific things they will look for and judge.

While you're not going to need those things if you're not showing, frankly getting the best and healthiest dog that you can is good sense. Perfection isn't possible in anything but for those who are interested, here's what you're seeking in a Pug.
